6" IC Airtight Universal Housing. For direct contact with ceiling insulation. Integral thermal protector guards against improper lamping. Adjustable socket bracket allows for different lamp types/sizes and proper and consistent lamp positioning. Junction box is listed for through branch circuit wiring and has six 1/2" knockouts with try pry-out slots. 7 1/2" height allows for use in 2 x 8 construction. Captive bar hangers span 24" joists and can be repositioned 90 degrees.
